Ryan Heron

Ryan’s career emerged from the world of documentary filmmaking where he gained the story telling skills that enrich his style and perspective today.  A partnership with Red Bull allowed him the opportunity to work with some of the worlds most talents athletes, this crash course in extreme sports saw Ryan develop a unique approach to capturing both stunts and motorsports and has resulted in an ability to translate the visceral excitement of driving to the screen.

With his experience in coxing performances from non professional talent he cultivates a relaxed and comfortable environment on set, this opens the gateway for natural genuine performance. This combined with his talent as a cinematographer results in a rich combination of intimate human moments and visually compelling images.

A New Zealand native Ryan lives between his adopted hometown of Barcelona and his native hometown of Whanganui.
