Mark is now one of the UK’s leading and established Food and Tabletop Director/Cinematographers and is also well versed in the ‘Dark Arts’ of high speed and motion control, with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Always client friendly and able to deliver stunning visual imagery with style and a smile, have made Mark a safe pair of hands when creative briefs are becoming ever more fluid and budgets challenging. Mark loves the disruption of innovation and being able to think on his feet, but also his ability to create those happy accidents that occasionally appear down a lens which clients love. In an ever evolving and sometimes chaotic content driven world Mark is established as a charismatic, easy going and charming and most importantly a safe pair of hands. Mark shoots are always fun.
For over 10 years Mark ran one of London’s busiest and most successful motion control studios, which allowed him to develop his lighting skills & techniques – specifically with regards to shooting for a creative post-production solution. In 2005 Mark started to work as a Director/DOP with leading production companies such as Park Village and then Steam Media, which gave him an extensive grounding in Directing spots for the UK’s leading Advertising Agencies & Brands. Whilst shooting mainly food, liquid and live action and product driven commercials, Mark still maintains close ties with some of London’s leading facilities houses & continues to shoot a considerable amount of their & effects sequences … More recently he has ventured further afield shooting commercials around the globe with JSA.
Mark is always busy, partially due to his unflappable quintessential English charm and charisma, but also largely due to his ability to create a warm client friendly atmosphere on a shoot, coupled with his undeniable talent and ability to deliver stunning visuals.
